Chattanooga Lunch Bracket: Choosing the Ultimate Winner Part Three
As winter comes to a close, the weather is not the only thing beginning to heat up. AREA203′s Afternoon Adventures is competitive as ever, with even more agency members adding their input. It’s time to check another category off and name a winner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after conducting extensive research, we have chosen the Best Burger in Chattanooga.
Urban Stack Burger Lounge
Urban Stack Facebook / Urban Stack Twitter
Considered by many to be a front runner and a “must have,” we included this hot spot with huge expectations. Urban Stack and the staff did not disappoint as several burger varieties got rave reviews. With several judges in attendance, we all chose different burgers to try. I happened upon the gourmet burger and it was great until the last bite, as were the sweet potato fries that came on the side. The entire group came away with positive ravings and ratings about the local burger shop. If you haven’t bitten into the hype yet, you gotta try this place out.
North Chatt Cat
This Frazier Avenue eatery surprised many of the judges. Seen as a long shot when we first put together the Burger Bracket, it proved to be a dark horse, leaving a lasting impression on many of us here at AREA203. One judge said, “This is what I am all about. Simple, friendly, tasty… and who would have thought that they had an excellent bison burger?” This place has character and it’s fun to sit and chat with the patrons. Simply said, North Chatt Cat is a great experience and a place worth making regular trips to.
The Best Burger in Chattanooga goes to…..
Tremont Tavern
Tremont’s Twitter / Tremont Facebook Page
Where to start? Tremont Tavern is simply a deliciously good time. With charisma oozing from every square inch of this burger utopia, Tremont got a ridiculously good (9.17 out of 10) rating. Tremont has several different burger options. I had the pimento cheeseburger, and my only regret was that I was too full to eat a second one. Everything from the quality of the burger, to a bun that would be delicious on its own, and pimento cheese second only to that found in Augusta during The Masters, made this burger exceptional. One judge, who emphatically previously stated that a different establishment would dominate this category, put it best: “All aspects of the tavern are ballin’. It’s the best burger I’ve ever had. Ten out of 10.” I could go on and on with individual accounts, but I recommend you to try it for yourself. Phenomenal food, friendly atmosphere, and good service make this a clear front runner for Best Lunch Spot in Chattanooga, which we will decide after all category winners have faced off in the finals.
Lastly, everyone has an opinion about what is best. Let us know what you think and submit spots that you think we should try.
Until next time, Happy Eating!
